Triathlon and Duathlon Event Results will be updated on the triathlon pages of this website after each event and can be found via the link from the homepage.

At each event, Scotia Chiropractors will provide both pre and post event massage. Herbal Life will also be in attendance providing nutritional advice and post race products to competitors.

Introducing BODY COMBAT® to Gytes Leisure Centre

The Gytes Leisure Centre is delighted to introduce BODY COMBAT® into the exercise studio programme.

Are you tired of just working out?  Do you crave a fresh and exciting workout experience that stimulates your mind as well as your body and leaves you feeling invigorated and ready to take on life’s challenges?

If so, then Body Combat is for you!

Body Combat combines powerhouse moves and stances developed from a range of self-defence disciplines including Karate, kickboxing, Tai Chi and Tae Kwondo, into a ‘take no prisoners’, adrenaline-pumping routine.

It is an empowering, athletic workout that will have you ‘fighting-fit’ in record time!

Body Combat has been specifically designed so that everyone can participate irrespective of their fitness background.  There is no sparing or one-to-one contact in Body Combat so your safety is guaranteed.  Body Combat gives a complete all-body workout.

A comprehensive repertoire of blocks, strikes, kicks and punches are taught via a technique session, enabling you to maximise your workout and ultimately attain the results you want faster.

Classes take place on the following days -

Monday 20.00 - 21.00

Tuesday 17.15 - 18.00

Sunday 10.00 - 11.00

New Underwater Sea Scooters at Selkirk & Eyemouth Leisure Centre

Borders Sport & Leisure Trust are fully committed in helping get more borderers more active more often.  As such we are introducing some new equipment at both Selkirk & Eyemouth Leisure Centre to encourage greater participation in sport & active leisure activities.

In the swimming pool, we are proud to introduce you to our new underwater Sea Scooters.  The underwater Sea Scooters are being introduced to provide children and adults with exciting new equipment so swimming can continue to be enjoyed by all the family. 

The Scooters will have dedicated timetabled sessions and swimmers will work towards four skill levels in order to provide a safe and fun environment. These levels are – 1. Introductory: 2. Snorkels and Fins: 3. Slalom/Obstacle course: 4. freestyle tricks.

New Squash League Gets Underway at Teviotdale

 

A new squash league has started at the Teviotdale Leisure Centre for anybody who plays the sport competitively or those who are complete beginners and looking to try another form of exercise.

Squash is a great game to help you improve muscle strength and tone giving you that all body workout.
